Dub Baseball Instruction is resuming its summer lessons for a select number of South County youth players. Erik Wagle, Live Oak pitching coach, will lead all instruction. Pitching lessons include all aspects of static stretching, prehab, correct tossing, drills, bullpen work, pickoffs and the mental game. DBI is also offering practice planning. Wagle and top high school and college players will organize and execute an entire practice.

Pop Warner Fund-raiser

The Morgan Hill Raiders Midger cheer team is holding a car wash from 9am-5pm on June 10 at Sunshine Bicycles to help the team raise money for its trip to the nationals in Florida.

Golf

Golf Tournament

The South County Realtors Association will have its annual golf tournament 10:30am July 13 at the Coyote Creek Golf Club, 1 Coyote Creek Golf Drive, in Morgan Hill. 

With the theme of “The Amazing Race – Around the World in 18 Holes,” the event will end with a dinner, awards and raffles. The grand prize for the raffle is a five-day all-inclusive trip to Jamaica. 

Realtors, lenders and affiliates from Morgan Hill, San Martin, Gilroy area will participate. Between 150 to 200 people are expected to golf or attend the dinner festivities. 

The association is welcoming corporate sponsorships which could include golf, lunch, and dinner and an optional hole to sponsor to give companies exposure with a banner. A portion of the proceeds contribute to area non-profit organizations and youth scholarships.

Live Oak Summer Camps

Live Oak will be hosting camps throughout the summer.

n Badminton, indoor soccer, speed & agility and tennis camps are from June 25-29.

n All Sports Camp # 1 is July 9-13.

n Girl’s basketball, track, rugby (touch), speed & agility and tennis camps are July16-20.

n All Sports Camp #2 and diving camp is July 23-27.

n All Sports Camp #3 is from July 30 – August 3.

n Field Hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, speed & agility and tennis camps are from August 6-10.

In all camps important topics will be covered such as positive attitude, sportsmanship, proper nutrition and the importance of good study habits and grades.Space is currently available in all camps. Camp flyers are available at the front office at Live Oak High School.

Water Polo

Summer Practice

The summer water polo program for all high school players began on June 12 at 8-10am at Sobrato High School. Middle School players practice from 10-11:20am.
