Following a successful first event, Volunteer Morgan Hill invites residents of Morgan Hill and the surrounding area attend the 2nd Annual Volunteer Morgan Hill Fair.
Many of the organizations that participated in last year’s fair will be back. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the organizations and learn how to get involved.
Special requirements are not needed. All that is needed is identification and willingness to devote time and energy.
“Last year we had great event because families brought their kids and every one was included to help our community,” said Victor Gaxiola, Volunteer Morgan Hill’s president.
The first event included many social organizations such as Rotary of Morgan Hill, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Morgan Hill Library, Community Law Enforcement Foundation and the Community Emergency Response Team.
Del Foster, 2009 Rotary president, said Volunteer Morgan Hill is a great way for residents to get involved.
“Their effort to recruit individuals to work for our town is terrific,” he said.
About 500 people from San Jose to Gilroy signed up to volunteer at last year’s fair.
