The Luis Alejo Tour de Morgan Hill – aka the Morgan Hill Business Tour – will shove off at 8 a.m. Friday at the Grinds, Vines & Automobilia Cafe, located at 17400 Monterey Road in downtown Morgan Hill.
“Small businesses are the backbone of the economy,” Assemblymember Luis Alejo (D-Salinas) said. “As a member of the state government and a representative of the community, I believe it is important for us to support small businesses because they create the new jobs that will help our economy rebound. When small businesses thrive, California thrives.”
The four-hour tour has planned stops at Anritsu America, a specialized electronic test equipment manufacturer; Anaerobe Systems, a manufacturer of oxygen-free environments, and SolarCity, a national leader in clean energy services.
Invited guests include Mayor Steve Tate, the Morgan Hill City Council, District 1 Supervisor Mike Wasserman, Senator Bill Monning, Assembymember Mark Stone and members of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce.
The tour will focus on upcoming small businesses in the community in order to showcase their positive presence and the success of the local economy. It will conclude at Guglielmo Winery.
