The Live Oak boys golf team shot a season-best score and still lost Wednesday to Piedmont Hills at Spring Valley Golf Course, Milpitas.
The Acorns shot 211, three shots more than Piedmont Hills’ 208 team score.
Junior Kevin Mom of the Acorns shot a 38, finishing as the overall match medalist. Kevin Kjellsen, David Cannon, Matt Morgan, Tim Dronek and Alex Avon all scored in the 40s.
The Acorns, who fell to 2-3 in the BVAL, next face Branham at Spring Valley Golf Course in Milpitas and at San Jose Municipal Golf Course.
