The Live Oak boys golf team bounced back in a big way Monday.

After two consecutive losses to Piedmont Hills last week, the Acorns battled back to dominate Branham at the Spring Valley Golf Course in Milpitas with a season-low score.

Live Oak posted a 201-213 win over Branham. The score was an improvement over the Acorns’ previous low, at the same course, by 10 strokes.

Kevin Mom set the pace for the Acorns with a score of 36. David Cannon, Alex Avon, Tim Dronek and Kevin Kjellsen contributed to the total, all with scores in the low 40’s.

The celebration didn’t last long, though. The Acorns met Branham again Wednesday at San Jose Municipal Golf Course. The Acorns stumbled at the par-36 course as the Bruins won 199-225.

Mom’s 39 led Live Oak. Kjellsen, Zack Colton, Matt Morgan and Dronek also scored for the Acorns. With this loss, Live Oak is 3–4 in the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mt. Hamilton Division.

The Acorns are in action next week with a busy schedule. They face Westmont at Spring Valley on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they travel to The Villages Golf Course to face Pioneer. They will have a rematch against Pioneer on Thursday at Santa Teresa Golf Course.
