Dear Editor,

Approximately 8 1/2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Unfortunately, it has progressed to where it is quite noticeable. As can be expected, some of the symptoms are difficulty with movement, speech, and what is ordinarily an easy occurrence: going to relieve myself of waste (trash and recycling).

There is a silver lining to this wretched disease. This comes in many ways, one of which I’ll bring up now. For the past year, my neighbor, Alan Bicho has made certain all my trash and recyclable material is put out where refuse folks can get to it for disposal.

Allan does this without a whimper or a sniffle. He quietly crosses the street and takes care of it. And I’d like to publicly thank Allan for his lovely gesture.
