Lisa Pesta, a Morgan Hill resident for more than 35 years and President and CEO of Meriwest Credit Union, embodies the South Bay’s spirit of growth and empowerment.
As a Bay Area native who has raised her family in the region’s rolling hills and bustling tech hubs, Pesta’s leadership of a $2.2 billion financial institution reflects her deep commitment to community and growth. With Meriwest set to open a new branch in Morgan Hill at 1041 Cochrane Road, Suite 180 early this year, Pesta’s story takes center stage, reflecting how local roots can open doors for an entire community.
“This town’s blend of heart and ambition feels like home,” she says, speaking from Meriwest’s San Jose headquarters.
Pesta, who took the helm in February 2023 after serving as executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has helped the credit union grow while staying true to its member-first values. Her journey mirrors Morgan Hill’s own evolution, where community spirit fuels innovation.
The new Morgan Hill branch will offer personal and business banking services and aims to be a hub for financial education and community connection.
“We want this space to help residents strengthen their financial health and connect. This branch is my way of giving back to Morgan Hill,” shared Pesta.
Pesta’s leadership continues to drive Meriwest into a member-focused organization focused on serving more than 80,000 households. Her secret? Prioritizing people.
