Authorities identified the pedestrian killed by a commuter train in Morgan Hill last month as 60-year-old Lydia Fernandez.

Staff at the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office identified the woman who died in the Aug. 29 incident. The coroner’s office did not provide a city of residence for the woman.

A southbound CalTrain struck and killed Fernandez at 7:14pm Aug. 29, just south of Morgan Hill, according to authorities.

The accident stalled two southbound commuter trains. CalTrain used VTA buses to carry passengers to San Martin and Gilroy from Blossom Hill and Morgan Hill. Police reported that all passengers on the train were safely removed, uninjured.
