MORGAN HILL — Adrenaline 14U came home with one of its best finishes for the five-year-old club: a bronze-division finish from the Jan. 30-31 Northern California Volleyball Association Girls Power League qualifier.

With impressive wins over teams like the Palo Alto Elite and San Francisco Warriors, Adrenaline placed 33rd out of 119 team in the tournament.

The two-day tournament took a lot of hard work and a full team effort. Setter Gabby Davis provided tough serving, playing every point of 12 games. Middles Jessica Chizanskos and Anna Macedo held up the net all weekend with big blocks and even bigger attacks. Raleigh McKinney was a key contributor to the team’s success, providing defense and offense consistency.

This is was the second tournament for Adrenaline (13-9), which is leaving its footprint on the court and paving the way for club teams around the south Bay Area. Adrenaline finished 11th out of 75 at the California Kickoff and will play in its first Power League tournament Feb. 21 in Rocklin.
