MORGAN HILL — The Santa Teresa Division girls soccer title is at the Lady Bulldogs’ fingertips.

Wednesday’s scoreless tie at Del Mar, left Sobrato in position to win its third league championship in four years Friday when the Bulldogs host their regular-season finale against Mount Pleasant at 3:15 p.m. A tie might not be enough for Sobrato (8-2-8 overall, 6-1-6 league), which holds a .01-percent better winning percentage than second-place Westmont.

Should the Bulldogs finish second, they will still be an attractive at-large candidate for the Central Coast Section playoffs. They are undefeated in four straight matches.

Live Oak 2, Leigh 0

Megan Rauschnot and Tiffany Geer scored Wednesday to help keep alive the Lady Acorns’ chances of winning their first league championship in five years.

Live Oak (11-4-4, 9-3-1) entered the Mount Hamilton Division match in second place behind Leland, having already clinched a CCS berth. The visiting Longhorns (12-4-2, 7-4-2), ranked No. 15 by the San Jose Mercury News, also are heading to the postseason as a top-four finisher in the Blossom Valley Athletic League ‘A’ conference.

Rauschnot scored in the 15th minute, heading in a short cross from Sabrina Rice. Geer followed in the 57th on a gorgeous free kick from about 20 yards out. The sophomore placed the ball over a three-person wall and just under the crossbar.

Live Oak will host its final regular-season match against Santa Teresa at 3:15 p.m.

NOTE: Friday is Senior Day for both Morgan Hill teams.
