fans at Rollin Ice in San Jose.
Live Oak High’s hockey team executed one of its best-played matches this season, beating first-place Milpitas 11-5 before a big crowd of fans at Rollin Ice in San Jose.
Senior Sean Gullery, junior Chase Norman, and sophomore Kyle Dutra each had a hat trick to lead the Acorn scoring barrage. Senior Matt Edgar also scored and added key assists, as did sophomore Connor Williamson.
Senior goalie Michael Anvari had an outstanding performance in the net as LO’s solid defense limited Milpitas’ scoring opportunities. Sophomore Scott Alexander also played outstanding on defense, and added two assists on offense.
LO, fighting for second place in its division, will face St. Lawrence next.
