The Morgan Hill Community Foundation kicks off its financial campaign this fall with a Community Luau on Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Pumpkin Patch, Monterey Road at California Avenue in San Martin.
There will be a delicious Hawaiian barbecue including a whole roasted pig, Hawaiian dance troupes, Taiko drums, the band Juz-Cuz, train rides and games for the kids.
The program will feature the recipients of the spring grant cycle and the stories of how these funds have helped local organizations. Funds raised from the upcoming community wide campaign will support the next grant cycle, which begins in October.
Families will have the opportunity to learn more about the important mission of the Morgan Hill Community Foundation and meet the many volunteers. Tickets are on sale at BookSmart, Guglielmo Winery and San Martin Pumpkin Patch. Details: www.morganhillcommunityfoundation.org or 778-6409.
