Burglary: The owner of the Sno White Drive-In reported someone broke into the restaurant overnight. A front window was broken, but at the time of the report, it was unclear what had been stolen. The report was taken at 5:07 a.m. on April 23.
Vandalism: The owner of a vacant house on Barrett Avenue reported that someone threw a piece of metal through a window of the house. The report was taken on April 22 at 4:05 p.m.
• A resident of Barrett Avenue reported someone had “paintballed” the resident’s Mercedes overnight. The resident told police there had been trouble with a neighbor in the past. The report was taken at 8:34 a.m. on April 23.
• A resident of the 15400 block of Sierra Morena reported someone painted over her house numbers on the curb in front of her house, and repainted an incorrect number. The report was taken on April 24 at 1:06 p.m.
• Someone reported a rock was thrown at his Ford ranger while it was on Peak Avenue. The rock was still in the road. The report was taken at 6:24 a.m. on April 25.
• A resident of the 14700 block of Native Dancer Drive reported someone broke the back windshield of the resident’s Suburban and damaged the hood of the vehicle. The resident told police the suspect may have used a flowerpot, which was lying broken near the Suburban. The report was taken on April 25 at 8:25 a.m.
• A resident of the 1100 block of Easy Street reported someone threw a terra cotta pot at the resident’s vehicle, causing a large dent and a gouge on the fender of the Honda Prelude. The damage was done overnight. The resident called back later to report a second vehicle was also damaged. The report was taken at 9:03 a.m. on April 25.
• A resident of the 300 block of W. Main Avenue reported someone threw a rock through the front windshield of her Honda Civic overnight. The report was taken on April 25 at 9:14 a.m.
Tampering with a vehicle: A resident of the Woodland Estates Mobile Home park reported the rear license plate was stolen from his vehicle overnight. The report was taken at 4 p.m. on April 22.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported the antenna was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at Gold’s Gym. The report was taken on April 22 at 8:18 p.m.
• A resident of Brookview Court reported someone stole the rear license plate from her vehicle. The report was taken at 1:37 p.m. on April 24.
• Someone reported the front license plate was stolen from her vehicle the month before when it was parked at the Tutta Bella Hair Salon. The report was taken on April 24 at 4:29 p.m.
Auto burglary: A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported someone broke into her Honda Accord overnight. The driver’s side rear window is damaged and the driver’s door is damaged, probably due to forced entry. The stereo, CD player, adapters and a boom box from the trunk were stolen. The report was taken on April 23 at 11:17 a.m.
• A resident of San Pedro Lane reported someone broke the window of the resident’s Mustang and stole the stereo and some other items. The report was taken at 1:23 p.m. on April 23.
Stolen vehicle: A resident of the 15200 block of Monterey Road reported the resident’s Dodge Caravan was stolen. The resident had left it running to warm up and someone got inside it and took off. The report was taken on April 22 at 5:08 a.m.
Fraud: Someone reported her purse stolen the day before in Gilroy and then her Mervyn’s card was used the following day to charge $245 in merchandise from the Morgan Hill Mervyn’s. The report was taken on April 22 at 9:29 a.m.
• A resident of the La Crosse Village Apartments reported she thought she was purchasing an exercise machine on E-Bay, but someone in New York had hacked into the seller’s account and posed as the seller. The resident sent $1,500 via Western Union to the person she thought was the seller. The owner of the account, when contacted, said she did not put that item for sale on E-Bay. The report was taken at 1:10 p.m. on April 23.
Grand theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported his Diamondback bike, worth approximately $500 was stolen from in front of the Cinema Six. The report was taken on April 21 at 10:08 p.m.
Petty theft: A Rite Aid employee reported a suspect stole two six-packs of beer from the store. The report was taken on April 20 at 6:34 p.m.
• A resident of the 300 block of Via Loma reported someone stole the solar light fixtures from the resident’s front porch. The report was taken at 8:42 a.m. on April 21.
• A resident of the 17400 block of Holiday Drive reported someone stole the mailbox from the residence. The report was taken on April 21 at 3:02 p.m.
• A resident of the 700 block of Roble Avenue reported someone stole his backpack from his unlocked vehicle on April 7. The backpack contained four library books, some insurance documents and two t-shirts. The report was taken at 5:11 p.m. on April 21.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her cell phone stolen while she was at the Cinema Six. The report was taken on April 22 at 9:42 a.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his daughter’s cell phone was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the Safeway parking lot in March. The report was taken at 1:43 p.m. on April 24.
