The Friends of Guaalupe River Park and Gardens’ Water Wizard Day Camps are a great way to introduce your child to nature, history and water conservation, all in an area park that can be visited and enjoyed long after the camp is over.
Professional adult teachers present a full program of nature hikes along San Jose’s Guadalupe River, water awareness experiments, local history and archaeology, worm composting, and gardening activities.
Two-day (Tuesday/Thursday) camps and Saturday mini-camps, each with a special theme, are available. The two-day sessions are $60 per child per session and the mini-camps are $30 per child per session. Two-day camp sessions: July 22-24, July 29-31, Aug. 5-7 and Aug. 12-14.
