Ave. was taken to County Jail after a Regional Auto Theft Task
Force searched his residence and found just under a pound of
marijuana, two pounds of cocaine, $7,000 in cash and evidence that
he had been involved in fighting dogs. The dog at the residence had
multiple scars and evidence of past puncture wounds and was removed
by Animal Control officers. Authorities had obtained a warrant to
search his home.

Arrest: Vincent Gaeta, 20, of 845 West Main Ave. was taken to County Jail after a Regional Auto Theft Task Force searched his residence and found just under a pound of marijuana, two pounds of cocaine, $7,000 in cash and evidence that he had been involved in fighting dogs. Shots fired: A Morgan Hill resident reported several shots fired in the area of Hale Avenue and Wright Avenue. The subjects were allegedly shooting towards the east side of the roadway. The report was taken on June 27 at 10:41 p.m.

Trespassing: A resident of Corte Cabas reported someone tried to break into his home with a gun. The suspect and two others were wearing all black with hoods. The suspects fled in a vehicle. The report was taken at 11:25 p.m. on July 2.

Threats: A Morgan Hill resident reported she received a message on her home voicemail stating, “You are going to be dead in 10 days.” The caller was a male but the resident does not recognize the voice and is not having problems with anyone. The report was taken on July 1 at 9:37 a.m.

Burglary: Ultramar reported a large storage shed behind the store was broken into overnight. Beer and other items were stolen. The report was taken on July 2 at 4:46 a.m.

Vandalism: Seagull Industries reported several acts of vandalism to the building overnight. There were locks broken on gates and the front signage was torn down. The report was taken at 1:24 p.m. on June 27.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone threw a rock and damaged the resident’s vehicle as it was in the area of Monterey Road and Watsonville Road. The rock hit the windshield, cracking it, and dented the hood of the vehicle. The report was taken on June 27 at 6 p.m.

• A resident of the 16400 block of Del Monte Avenue reported two tires on her Chevrolet Monte Carlo were slashed overnight. She told police tires on several other vehicles in the complex were slashed as well. The report was taken on June 28 at 7:42 a.m.

• A resident of the Madrone Mobile Estates reported a Chevy pickup parked in the rear of the park was scratched over the entire vehicle. The report was taken at 3:06 p.m. on June 30.

• Advent Lutheran Church reported a small “server room” had a broken window. The report was taken on June 30 at 3:17 p.m.

• A resident of the 300 block of Wright Avenue reported someone hit the resident’s vehicle with an unknown object. The report was taken at 8 a.m. on July 1.

• A resident of Jackson Oaks reported there have been incidents of vandalism, including damage to fencing, the clubhouse, things thrown in the pool and beer bottles scattered around. The report was taken on July 1 at 12:38 p.m.

• Cellular Phone Wholesale reported someone knocked down and damaged the signs in front of the business. The report was taken at 1:52 p.m. on July 1.

CHP

Accident: Autos driven by Zubyda Ademe, 25, of San Jose and Judy Millington, 61, of San Mateo collided at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday while traveling north on Hwy. 101 near Cochrane Road.

The accident occurred when Ademe tried to merge into the HOV lane but found that she did not have enough room to safely change lanes. According to Terrie Mayes of the CHP, she then swerved and over-corrected. This caused her to swerve across the highway and into the embankment.

Ademe’s car spun around, facing the wrong direction. The car then began to roll back into on coming traffic and hit Millington, who had come to a stop. Neither of the drivers was injured and each car received moderate damage.

• Anderson County Park Ranger Drew Enright was taken by ambulance to St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy Wednesday evening complaining of head and neck pain after a traffic collision on Cochrane Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. The collision occurred when another vehicle veered into his lane. Enright was released after treatment. Further details were unavailable.
