Flames doused

A grass fire, reportedly sparked by a van on fire, on Oak Glen
Avenue near Willow Springs Road, briefly threatened to get out of
hand Monday afternoon but was contained within an hour to three
acres of mostly grassland. No structures were damaged. Four
engines, a helicopter, a bulldozer and 35 firefighters
responded.
