Signs warn park users, hikers of West Nile virus

The Santa Clara County Vector Control District and Santa Clara Valley Water District have made available a pamphlet in five languages informing residents of the dangers of West Nile virus. One case was reported last year in the state.

The virus is spread to humans through bites from infected mosquitoes. The county vector control district advises residents to use mosquito repellants and eliminate standing water around homes.
