of 97.
Adolph Louis Kretschmer died Aug. 22, 2003, in Gilroy at the age of 97.

He was born in Belleville, Ill. on Dec. 21, 1905, to Louis and Julia Kretschmer.

Adolph was a shoe cutter of fine women’s shoes and was an airplane mechanic during World War II. He was a proud craftsman and a devoted Catholic and loved his family very much. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by the love of his life for 72 years his wife, Josephine Kretschmer of Morgan Hill; daughter Betty Harvey and her husband Richard of Morgan Hill; grandchildren, Jackie (Doug) Hummel, Ken Merck, Karen (Peter) Paulhe, and Janet Delfino; and great-grandchildren Abraham Ludlow, Lisa Wilson, Michael Gross, Marie Gross and David Delfino.

Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 26, at St. Joseph’s Church, 10110 N. DeAnza Blvd., Cupertino.

Interment was at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Los Altos.

Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
