MORGAN HILL POLICE

Battery: A 35-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to county jail charged with domestic battery. The report was taken on Nov. 21 at 6:21 p.m.

Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported she let a friend borrow her Honda Accord to buy cigarettes and the friend didn’t return the vehicle. She found her Honda the next morning at the Terracina Apartments, where the friend lives, but her friend won’t answer the door. She said her vehicle was ransacked, and her purse, backpack and keys are missing. The report was taken on Nov. 17 at 7:39 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her Cadillac was broken into while parked in the rear parking lot of Gian Carlos restaurant on Monterey Road. She told police the rear passenger side window was broken and contents in the vehicle were “messed up,” but it was unclear at the time of the report if anything was stolen. The report was taken at 9:35 p.m. on Nov. 18.

• A Honda Civi was broken into while parked at an Inn in the 16100 block of Condit Road. The vehicle was also ransacked. The report was taken on Nov. 18 at 10:07 p.m.

• A Live Oak student reported the back window of his vehicle was shattered and the other windows were “pulled down” while the vehicle was parked on Half Road behind the school. The face plate of the stereo was stolen, the speakers and CD’s in the vehicle were stolen. The report was taken at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 19.

• A Live Oak student reported her locked vehicle was burglarized while parked on Half Road behind the school. She told police her driver side window was shattered, the stereo was stolen and over 100 CD’s and a $200 pair of sunglasses were stolen. The report was taken on Nov. 19 at 3:36 p.m.

• A locked vehicle parked in the Best Western Inn parking lot on Condit Road was broken into overnight. The report was taken at 9:31 a.m. on Nov. 20.

• A minivan, with the back gate left unlocked, was broken into while parked at the Best Western Inn overnight. Two radar detectors, worth approximately $250, were stolen. The report was taken on Nov. 20 at 9:41 a.m.

• A security guard at a business on Jarvis Drive reported two vehicles in the parking lot were broken into. The driver side window on both the Honda and the Plymouth were shattered and stereos/CD players stolen. The report was taken at 3:08 p.m. on Nov. 20.

• A Live Oak High student reported the student’s vehicle was burglarized while parked on Half Road behind the school. A tire was slashed and the driver side window was shattered. The stereo was taken from the vehicle. The report was taken on Nov. 20 at 3:30 p.m.

• Someone reported their unlocked vehicle was entered and four CD holders, each containing 15 CD’s, were stolen. The report was taken at 4:01 p.m. on Nov. 20.

• Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the Lawrence Oaks Shopping Center parking lot and stole a duffel bag containing medicine, two pairs of pants, a coat, shoes and a Polaroid camera. The items were estimate at $300. The report was taken on Nov. 22 at 12:39 p.m.

• A resident of Creekside Village reported the rear window of her locked vehicle was shattered overnight, and her bowling ball, bowling bag and bowling shoes, estimated at $150, were stolen. The report was taken at 12:33 p.m. on Nov. 23.

Fraud: A resident of Morgan Hill reported her checkbook was stolen on Nov. 1 at the Microtel Inn and Suites and a check was forged. The report was taken on Nov. 18 at 9:12 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported two paychecks, one for $612 and one for $700, were stolen from her mailbox by her former neighbor when she lived in the Wright Avenue Apartments. The resident reported the checks were cashed on Nov. 18. The report was taken at 11:34 a.m. on Nov. . 18.
