MORGAN HILL POLICE

Burglary: A resident of the 30 block of E. Fifth Street reported she returned home to find someone had entered the residence and ransacked it. The computer, TV, VCR, printer and other items were stolen. The resident told police she was sure everything was locked when she left. The report was taken on Jan. 19 at 12:26 p.m.

• A resident of the 18500 block of Butterfield Boulevard reported someone entered the residence and stole a video camera, laptop computer, jewelry, camera and DVD player. A window was apparently left open. The report was taken at 11:01 p.m. on Jan. 20.

• Someone from Shea Homes reported that a storage container and a job site trailer belonging to AES Electrical were broken into. Electrical supplies ere stolen from the container, and it appears as if the burglar or burglars tried to steal the complete job trailer. The report was taken on Jan. 22 at 7:31 a.m.

Vandalism: A resident of the La Alameda Apartments reported her ex-boyfriend showed up at her apartment while she was with her new boyfriend. The ex-boyfriend apparently kicked the door to the apartment and asked for the resident. Then, the resident heard glass breaking and walked outside to see a window of her Honda Prelude was shattered. The Honda’s tires had been slashed and the hood damaged. The ex-boyfriend apparently used a brick to break the window. The report was taken on Jan. 21 at 10:53 p.m.

Tampering with a vehicle: An employee of Argon Construction reported her rear license plate was stolen while parked at the office. The report was taken on Jan. 21 at 9:05 a.m.

• Someone reported his rear license plate stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at the Morgan Hill Museum. The report was taken at 3:29 p.m. on Jan. 22.

Auto burglary: A resident of the 500 block of San Pablo Court reported his vehicle was broken into a second time, after the police had taken a report. Additional items were stolen, including an MP3 player, and possibly a check. Additional damage was also done to the inside of the vehicle. The report was taken on Jan. 19 at 11:27 a.m. He called back again at 12:12 p.m. to report he had found a spot of blood on the console and wanted the officer to return to look at it.

• A resident of the 17500 block of Calle Mazatan reported his locked Honda Civic was broken into while it was parked on the street in front of the residence overnight. The driver’s side window was shattered. The stereo was stolen. The report was taken at 5:36 p.m. on Jan. 19.

• Someone reported a cell phone stolen from their vehicle while it was parked on Oakwood Court. The report was taken at 3:54 p.m. on Jan. 21.

• An employee of the Comfort Inn reported a guest’s Toyota pickup was broken into. A window of the truck was broken, and the guest’s checkbook was stolen. The report was taken on Jan. 22 at 7:15 a.m.

• An employee of the Comfort Inn reported two other guests’ vehicles were broken into. The reports were taken at 7:46 a.m. and 8:03 a.m. on Jan. 22.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her cell phone was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while she was in the Cinema 6. The report was taken on Jan. 22 at 1:16 p.m.

Grand theft: An employee of Kids’ World Child Care Center reported her digital camera, valued at $400, was stolen from her purse while she was working. The report was taken at 1:47 p.m. on Jan. 22.

Petty theft: A resident of the 17400 block of Blue Jay Drive reported someone took mail from her mailbox on Jan. 4, and Jan. 5. The report was taken on Jan. 6 at 4:25 p.m.

• Someone reported her wallet stolen at the Chevron gas station. The wallet contained identification, $40 in cash, $30 Canadian dollars and a library card. The report was taken at 5:07 p.m. on Jan. 7.

• Someone reported her purse stolen from the McDonald’s on Condit Road. The purse contained a cell phone, gas and bank cards, identification, and work, house and car keys. The report was taken on Jan. 9 at 11:49 a.m.

• A Blockbuster employee told police two males and a female stole some movies from the store. The report was taken at 8:39 p.m. on Jan. 10.

• Someone reported her purse was stolen while she was at the soccer complex. The purse contained credit cards, a cell phone, identification and $10 in cash. The credit cards were used at two locations in San Martin that same day. The report was taken on Jan. 11 at 11:42 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported his cell phone was stolen when he was leaving the Ace Hardware store. The report was taken at 12:31 p.m. on Jan. 13.

• An employee of the Walgreens drug store reported that a customer that had $30 worth of pictures developed picked them up and walked out without paying for them. The report was taken on Jan. 17 at 1:10.
