an impressive 6-1 match victory over T-CAL foe Palma.
MORGAN HILL – The Live Oak boys tennis team improved its record to 2-0 with an impressive 6-1 match victory over T-CAL foe Palma.

The Acorns swept all four singles bouts and won two of three doubles matches.

In singles competition, Polayes defeated Grosnick, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1; Lucarelli-Cowles toppled Campbell, 7-5, 6-4, at No.2; Laskodi slammed Pressas, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 3; and Matsumoto beat Geiger, 7-5, 6-4, at No. 4.

The Live Oak top tandem of McElroy and Watson suffered a 6-2, 6-4 straight set loss to Merrill and T. Mueller.

In other doubles action, the No. 2 duo of Alexander and Bouchette defeated Bagtas and Cuana 6-2, 6-2; and the No. 3 tandem of Christopher and Ferrando toppled Gardiner and K. Mueller 6-3, 7-6.
