For Life.
The Gilroy Relay For Life Committee and the American Cancer Society will be honoring cancer survivors at the sixth annual Relay For Life.
The relay is a 24-hour celebration that will be held from 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, to 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 22, at the Christmas Hill Ranch Site.
The opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
An important part of the relay is the Survivor Ceremony and Walk when family, neighbors, friends and the whole community celebrate survivors’ victory over cancer.
All cancer survivors are encouraged to come and be honored and offer hope and encouragement to others. Survivors will circle the track in the honorary first lap. They can run it, skip it, walk it or hitch a ride! Survivors are also invited to attend the special Survivor’s Lunch following the opening ceremony.
