Carole Mensing died June 18, 2003, in San Jose. She was 59.

Carole worked 16 years designing creeks for Santa Clara Valley Water District and eight years working on the San Luis Water Project for the federal government. She loved horseback riding and was a proud member of the Santa Clara County Horsemen’s Association. Besides her job and horses, she enjoyed reading and was an avid gardener.

Carole is survived by her husband, Joseph Mensing of Morgan Hill; daughters Paula Mensing, Constance Krischan and Jennelle Mensing; granchildren Melissa (Mark) Cardenes, Matthew Curtis, Joseph Lemos, Cassandra Krischan and Karina Rutherford; and a great-grandson Mark Cardenes Jr.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today, June 24, at Johnson Funeral Home.

Interment at Oakwood Memorial Park, Santa Cruz.
