who are interested in serving on a Senior Advisory Committee. Three

The City of Morgan Hill is accepting applications from citizens who are interested in serving on a Senior Advisory Committee. Three positions for two years each are available.
The committee helps develop plans and programs for Morgan Hill seniors, under the auspices of the Parks and Recreation Committee. The committee also advises the PRC, facilitates coordination of the efficient and effective use of recreation facilities and activities for its age group and provides support and networking for the senior community.
Issues at work or on the horizon include developing a new senior center as part of the Indoor Recreation Center planned for land east of Community Park and the possible rehabilitation of the Friendly Inn.
Applicants will be assigned by the Parks and Recreation Commission with the approval of the Mayor and City Council. The committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. at City Hall.
Applications for the Senior Advisory Committee will be accepted until Wednesday, July 9, at 5 p.m. or until filled at the City Clerk’s Office, 17555 Peak Avenue, 779-7259.
