Want something educational and fun for your child to do this summer? Have them become a Water Wizard.
The Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens are pleased to present the third season of their Water Wizard Day Camps in San Jose where nature, science and history come alive for young children in a unique outdoor setting in San Jose.
All the activities are interactive and promote learning through discovery and experiences with nature.
Two different types of day camps are being offered this year. The first is the traditional two-day session. These camps begin the week of July 7 and are held every Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., through the week of Aug. 11.
A new opportunity is also available this year with the Saturday Mini-Camps that take place twice this summer. They are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., July 19 and Aug.23.
The cost of the two-day (Tuesday/Thursday) session is $60 per child per session and the Saturday Mini-Camps cost $30 per child per session. All the camps are geared toward children ages 7-10. Details: www.grpg.org or 298-7657.
