’t really have a beef, or just kind of. I was wondering, I
noticed that Barry McDonnell, the Live Oak High softball coach, was
voted Coach of the Year for all of the Central Coast Section (CCS)
and I was just curious why there hasn’t been a story written on
this. I think it would be great to wri
te him up since they won the CCS championship this year. Thanks.

congratulations to Coach McDonnell for the well-deserved honor.
Already a fine coach with a section title under his belt, McDonnell
outdid himself this season, guiding a talented but
very young Acorn softball team all the way to the CCS Division I
championship. He’s also one of Green Phone’s favorite coaches for
his accomodating style and endlessly positive attitude.
