Halloween: The committee will discuss plans for the upcoming Halloween movie night featuring “Hocus Pocus,” scheduled at the Community and Cultural Center on Saturday, Oct. 21., at 7pm. The committee also will discuss policies and procedures for the new teen center opening Oct. 28 at the Centennial Recreation Center.

Proposition 90: Supervisors will discuss whether to oppose Proposition 90, the Protect Our Homes initiative. If passed, Proposition 90 would require municipalities to pay property owners for regulations that damage their property. The proposition may conflict with land-use regulations across the state, including Measure A on the November ballot, which would restrict development in certain areas of the county.

Senior Center: YMCA Executive Director Debbie Cupp will give a report on plans related to the new senior center opening Oct. 28 at the Centennial Recreation Center. Commissioners also will discuss new ideas for the center and prepare a report for the city council.

Olin Response: An official response to Olin Corporation’s groundwater clean-up feasibility study is due next week from the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board. The group will hear a report from the regional board staff member who wrote the response.
