Morgan Hill – The Morgan Hill Pee Wee Raiders made it two in a row Saturday by beating East Bay 16-0.
With the win came a big loss, as the major ball handler, Tyler Lerma, broke his arm and will miss at least four to six weeks.
The offense barely broke the 100-yard mark, but it was enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Raiders held the Wildcats to 62 yards.
Morgan Hill capitalized on a late second-quarter fumble at the 6-yard line to score its first touchdown. In the third, Danny Saporito took a sweep 30 yards to cap the day. Saporito converted both kicks and led the offense with 39 yards on 5 carries.
Frankie Palmer spearheaded the defensive effort with five solo tackles and six assists. He also intercepted a pass. Matt Dariano and Dominic Maciel recovered fumbles.
