Dear Editor,

On May 10, at around 9:30am, I noticed a large waterfall cascading across our yard. Upon investigating, there was a break in the 6-inch water main located at the top of our driveway, so I immediately called the City of Morgan Hill Water Department. Kay Bravo answered my call and my concerns were directed through Tina Rodriguez to Bob Amaya, senior utility worker. Bob and his crew showed up within 20 minutes, shut off the water and completed temporary repairs by 11am.

My wife and I reside in one of the county “pockets,” soon to be annexed into the city which provides our water. The prompt and professional attention of the referenced staff was most appreciated and, despite a one or two percent anticipated increase in our taxes following annexation, it will be worth that expense.
