Dear Editor,
Downtown Morgan Hill has many planters which are maintained by volunteers under the Adopt-A-Planter program. The volunteers plant new items and maintain them once planted. The city’s responsibility is to water them. Over the last few years it has been a struggle to get the city’s Public Works Department to uphold its end of the bargain. And a bargain it is. The city tells the public how important the downtown is, though on the other hand they don’t utilize the automatic watering system to keep the plants from dying. How sad. If you enjoy driving or walking by the plants and see they need water, call the Public Works Department at 776-7337. I thank you and so do the plants.
