Petty theft: Power cords valued at approximately $299 were stolen from a construction trailer at a job site on Dougherty Avenue. The report was taken at 9:55am.
Vandalism: A resident of San Benito Drive reported a window of their Volkswagen Jetta was shattered overnight. The report was taken at 11:57am.
Petty theft: A resident of the Del Monte Village Townhomes reported he saw a male suspect take a leaf blower and a hedger from in front of his residence; he told police he chased the suspect around the village but could not catch him. The report was taken at 1:11pm.
Fraud: A resident of Del Monte Avenue reported someone has been using his credit cards and account number to charge approximately $3,000. The report was taken at 3:09pm.
Vandalism: The owner of a property on East Main Avenue reported a door was tampered with, and there is a hole in the door; total damage is estimated to be between $400 and $500. The report was taken at 5:49pm.
July 11
Burglary: A vending machine outside the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Monterey Road was broken into overnight. The lock was removed, and the coin holder was stolen. Damage to the machine is estimated to be $1,000, and approximately $350 in cash was stolen. The report was taken at 10:24am.
Grand theft: A purse was stolen from Christine’s Salon. The owner of the purse told police she had approximately $500 in cash in the purse. The report was taken at 4:12pm.
Grand theft: A computer bag containing equipment valued at approximately $2,500, including a laptop, binoculars, camera and other items was stolen from the Chevron gas station on East Dunne Avenue on July 1. The report was taken at 5:57pm.
July 12
Auto burglary: A resident of the Village Avante Apartment Homes reported a stereo, amplifier and speakers were stolen from their Chevy Malibu. The windows were left open at the top overnight. The car was also vandalized, seats ripped, and the outside of the vehicle was keyed. The report was taken at 7:08am.
Arrests:
Mark L. Glasser, 47, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for alleged battery. The report was taken on July 8 at 11:46pm.
Jose A. Arias, 24, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for alleged battery. The report was taken on July 10 at 1:09am.
