final road stop before a four-game homestand, beating San Jose
57-32 on Friday. Luke Laguna had four 3-pointers on the way to a
game-high 18 points, and Austin Carvalho added 11 points for the
Acorns, who swept the season series. They led 20-10 after the first
quarter and 28-13 at halftime on the way to their second win in
three games.

Live Oak (8-11, 5-4) remained in good shape to finish .500 or better in the West Valley Division and become eligible for the Central Coast Section playoffs.
The Acorns host Mount Pleasant on Tuesday, James Lick on Thursday and first-place Lincoln on Saturday.

Ben Vater scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-16, 1-8), while Karl Johnisee scored seven.

Alissa Pham’s first-half score had Live Oak poised for a fifth consecutive victory Friday, but the Acorns still benefited from a 1-1 tie with Santa Teresa, the second-place team in the Mount Hamilton Division.
Live Oak (9-3-1, 4-3-1) is riding a wave of momentum into Wednesday’s 3:15 p.m. rematch with Sobrato at the Outdoor Sports Center.
The Bulldogs (4-6-4, 2-4-2) will be out to snap a two-game slide after falling 3-0 at Branham on Friday.
Sobrato beat Live Oak 2-1 in their previous meeting on Jan. 6.
