Audrey Weatherton, 15, from Fremont, becomes emotional during a vigil for her former Washington High School classmate Sierra LaMar. LaMar has been missing since Friday, March 16 when she left for Sobrato High School.

The volunteer search for missing 15-year-old Sierra LaMar continues Saturday followed by an art auction which will raise support for the Sierra LaMar Fund.

The KlaasKids Foundation is asking new and returning search volunteers to report to the Find Sierra Search Center, located at Burnett Elementary School at 85 Tilton Road in Morgan Hill between 8 and 9 a.m.

Sierra has been missing since March 16.

Antolin Garcia Torres, 21, is charged with the murder, with a special circumstance of kidnapping, of Sierra – who is a sophomore at Sobrato High School. Torres has yet to plea against the charges.

Sierra has been missing from her mother’s north Morgan Hill home since March 16. Santa Clara County sheriff’s investigators think she was kidnapped that morning while walking to her school bus stop near the intersection of Palm and Dougherty avenues.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and bring photo identification. Dress appropriately for the weather; wear long pants and sturdy, covered toe shoes.

Searches will be by foot over a variety of terrain; from fields to dense woods, including areas with increasing elevation. Search organizers encourage volunteers to bring useful items such as a small backpack to carry water and snacks, a hiking stick, bug spray and pre-poison oak lotion.

Afterwards, the Thomas Kinkade Studio will hold an art auction from 5 to 9 p.m. at Club Del Monte at the Monterey Naval Postgraduate School, 1 University Circle, Building 220, in Monterey.  The proceeds from one Thomas Kinkade piece will be donated to the Sierra LaMar Fund.
