Petty theft: A resident of Sierra Court reported Christmas ornaments, valued at $150, stolen from their lawn overnight. The report was taken at 12:46pm.

Auto burglary: A resident of Nob Hill Manor on Viewcrest Lane reported two of their vehicles were broken into overnight and the stereos stolen. The report was taken at 3:04pm.

Battery: A resident of Peak Avenue reported a neighbor hit the his 17-year-old girlfriend in the back. The report was taken at 3:37pm.

Auto burglary: Two suspects ripped the convertible top of a Mitsubishi Spyder and stole presents from the vehicle while it was parked at the Mervyn’s in Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The report was taken at 4:37pm.

Auto burglary: A rental car, a Chevy Malibu, parked at the Comfort Inn on Condit Road was broken into, and items including a camera were stolen from the Malibu. The report was taken at 4:53pm.

Child abuse: A Morgan Hill resident reported that his 7-year-old brother told him that his 24-year-old brother had sex in front of him. The report was taken at 6:38pm.

December 25

Auto burglary: Two vehicles parked at the Murphy Ranch Apartment Homes were broken into overnight. A window on each of the vehicles were shattered, and stereos were stolen. The report was taken at 3:23pm.

Stolen vehicle: A Honda Accord was stolen from Wright Avenue, where it was parked for approximately an hour. The report was taken at 10:13pm.

December 26

Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported he was visiting a friend on Alkire Avenue and parked his Acura Integra on the street. The locked Integra was stolen. The report was taken at 2:29am.

Burglary: The Fast Stop Food Store on Monterey Road was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and items were stolen from the store. The report was taken at 6:12am.

Auto burglary: A Comcast employee reported her Chevy Suburban was broken into while it was parked in the company parking lot on Madrone Parkway. The report was taken at 9:51am.

Petty theft: A customer in the Longs Drug store on East Dunne Avenue reported she put her keys and wallet down while in the store and they were stolen. The report was taken at 1:43pm.

Stolen vehicle: A Honda Accord was stolen overnight from the street in front of a residence on Mathilda Court. The report was taken at 4:32pm.

Burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported an ex-employee of his walked into his garage four or five weeks ago and stole a compressor valued at $1,000. His nephew witnessed the theft. He told police he just saw the compressor, along with other tools that belong to him, in the back of the ex-employee’s truck, which was parked at his residence. The report was taken at 8:20pm.

Auto burglary: A resident of the Monte Vista Apartments reported their Corvette was broken into. The trunk was opened, and speakers and an amplifier were stolen. The report was taken at 11:44pm.

December 27

Spousal battery: Mark L. Brandt, 42, was taken to county jail. The report was taken at 1:20am.

Burglary: A construction trailer at a job site on Diana Avenue was broken into overnight. The reinforcement bar at the rear of the trailer was removed, and power tools and other items were stolen. The report was taken at 8:56am.
