Hollister police are looking for a 14-year-old runaway girl who might be with a 41-year-old man, according to a statement from police.
Selena Burr’s grandmother, who is her legal guardian, reported the girl as a runaway Thursday. The grandmother told police Burr had never gone missing and that she is concerned Burr could be with Clint Wageman, 41.
Wageman is a family friend and distant relative, according to police. His last known address was in the 100 block of Sixth Street in San Francisco. He no longer at the address and his cell phone number was recently disconnected.
“While conducting this investigation, officers learned Burr has been in contact with Wageman by phone and by Internet in recent weeks,” according to the police statement.Â
Police noted that recent Internet searches on Burr’s home computer revealed she was looking at apartments for rent in the Oakland area.
Police described Burr as a white female, 5-foot-9, with blond hair and blue eyes, and weighing 175 pounds.
Wageman is a white male adult, 6-foot-2, with brown hair and brown eyes, and weighing about 195 pounds. Police are calling him a person of interest in the case.
