Sophomore guard Nate Schilling had 32 points, five assists and five steals to lead Oakwood’s boys basketball team to a 74-23 victory at Pescadero on Tuesday night.

Sophomore post player Justin Mortensen added 20 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Hawks (8-1), and teammate Jonathan Angulo supplied 13 points, seven steals and five rebounds.

Oakwood freshman Ben Millward had nine steals.

Sobrato 47, Carmel 38 – Bryce Shore had 12 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead the Bulldogs to victory.

Kristian Maldia had 11 points, three assists and two steals for Sobrato, which got 10 points, 10 rebounds and three steals from Karl Mann.

BOYS SOCCER

Christopher 4, Pacific Grove 1 – Alejandro Robles, Giovanni Troini, Giovanni Adame and Jose Romo scored one goal each to lead the Cougars past the host Breakers.

Jacob Liberatore assisted on two goals for Christopher, and Edwin Galeana added one assist.

GIRLS SOCCER

Mountain View 2, Gilroy 1 – Erica Higa and freshman Ysabel Baluyot scored in the 16th and 25th minutes, respectively, and the defending Central Coast Section Division I champion Spartans held on to beat the host Mustangs.

Senior midfielder Taylor Slattery scored late in the second half for Gilroy (1-2-1).
