Alice (Kiyoko Okamura) Matsumura passed away peacefully in her home on April 18.
Born in the Central Valley of California to Tamae and Seikichi Okamura, she was the second eldest of five children and the last surviving.
She and her family were interned during WWII in Rohwer, AR and later moved to Cleveland, where she married Isamu Matsumura (deceased 1970) in 1949 and raised her three children.
She returned to California in 1989 after retiring from General Motors – Chevrolet Division.
he is survived by all three of her children Donna Matsumura, Glenn (Penny) Matsumura, Doreen Turay and her four grandchildren Sam (Mimi) and Seiji Matsumura and Holly and Jacey Turay.
Friends and family will celebrate her life Saturday, May 13, 2017, 1:00pm at Lima-Campagna-Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill.
