Haunted graveyard creator Bob Johnston prepares his Halloween

Haunted Graveyard creators Bob Johnston and Scott Janssen are back to once again convert Lassen Way in Morgan Hill into a delightfully frightful display of horror. The creative duo is offering free admission to the public.
Hundreds of brave souls are expected to visit the “Terror on Lassen Way” Haunted Graveyard and delight in its many spooky wonders. The venue is open from 6:30-9:30pm Oct. 31 (Halloween night only). Donations will be accepted for the American Red Cross (California Wildfires Relief).
“This year, zombies have taken over the Haunted Graveyard, so be on the lookout for walkers, creepers and biters,” the announcement states.
The Haunted Graveyard features many special effects, including a thunder and lightning storm, creaking gates, wisecracking skulls, the “breathing ground,” corpses trying to escape their graves, tombstones that shift and shake, ghosts, gargoyles, bats, skeletons, candles, special lighting, sound effects and coffins with disturbing surprises inside.
Over the past years, more than $5,400 worth of donations dropped off at Terror on Lassen Way have gone to various charities, including the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, American Parkinson Disease Association, Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research, according to the press release.
The “Terror on Lassen Way” Haunted Graveyard is easily accessible in Morgan Hill by traveling west on Watsonville Road from Monterey Road. Turn left onto Venetian Way and stay to the right. The entrance to the “Terror On Lassen Way” Haunted Graveyard will be on the left.
