Someone stole a riding mower, blower and chainsaw from the victim’s property between 5 p.m May 8 and 3:30 p.m. May 9 on the 1500 block of Dias Drive in San Martin.
Someone stole $1,524 worth of items, including power tools, welding equipment and a set of handheld racing flags, from a vehicle between 7 p.m. May 6 and 8:30 a.m. May 7 on the 2000 block of Vincent Drive in San Martin.
Burglary
Someone broke into a locked vehicle using a key and stole a variety of items between 12:30 and 4 p.m. May 19 on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard at Mesa Road in Gilroy.
Someone used a slim jim to break into a locked vehicle and steal items totaling $145 between 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 19 on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard at Mesa Road in Gilroy.
Someone broke into a detached garage of a residence and stole more than $4,000 of various tools between 3 p.m. May 16 and 4 p.m. May 17 on the 1500 block of Day Road in Gilroy.
Someone broke into four vehicles and stole about $1,000 worth of items between 3:20 p.m. May 13 and 7:06 a.m. May 16 on the 600 block of Renz Avenue in Gilroy.
Two suspects entered an industrial work shed and stole a commercial push mower and two aluminum ramps between 10:07 and 10:48 p.m. May 12 on the 2600 block of Pacheco Pass in Gilroy.
Someone broke into a residence and stole power tools and other tools between 5 p.m. April 14 and 12:24 p.m. May 19 on the 8000 block of El Matador Drive in Gilroy.
Attempted burglary
Someone forcibly attempted to break and enter a victim’s storage container but failed to gain entrance between 5 p.m. May 5 and 4:20 p.m. May 11 on the 7100 block of Holsclaw Road in Gilroy.
Forgery
Someone stole mail from a mailbox that had blank checks with the victim’s name on them between 8 a.m. Nov. 15, 2015 and 8 a.m. Jan. 16 on the 1300 block of Center Avenue at Berlin Court in San Martin. Those checks were cashed to different people in the area and the victim’s name was forged.
False information to an officer
A 50-year-old man was charged with providing false information to an officer at 8:04 p.m. May 22 on Monterey Highway at San Martin Avenue in San Martin.
False registration tab
A 34-year-old woman was charged with having a false registration tab at 7:33 a.m. May 9 on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo Circle at Gilman Road in Gilroy.
Littering
Two unknown suspects left a “55 Gallon Propylene” barrel on the side of the road with an unknown substance inside between 5:30 and 5:40 p.m. on Kirby Avenue at Monterey Highway in Morgan Hill.
Misappropriation of stolen property
A 32-year-old man was charged with misappropriation of lost property and a probation violation at 6:30 p.m. May 11 on Monterey Highway at Cox Avenue in San Martin. The suspect was in possession of someone else’s credit card.
Identity theft
Someone used a victim’s personal information and attempted to withdraw money out of a checking account but the the banking institution was able to stop the transactions and alerted fraudulent activity between midnight May 3 and 10:30 a.m. May 11 on the 12000 block of Columbet Avenue in San Martin.
Stolen vehicle
A vehicle was stolen from a residence between 11:30 a.m. May 7 and midnight May 8 on the 800 block of East Main Street in Morgan Hill.
Recovered stolen vehicle
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle out of Sunnyvale parked on the side of a rural road between 8 a.m. May 8 and 8:15 p.m. May 18 on Casa de Fruta Parkway at Pacheco Pass Highway in Gilroy.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle out of Milpitas at 8:04 a.m. May 10 on the 1500 block of Omar Avenue in Gilroy.
Drugs
A 36-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were charged with possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation at 10:14 a.m. May 22 on Obata Court at Obata Way in Gilroy during a welfare check.
A 27-year-old man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:25 p.m. May 19 on U.S. 101 and Masten Avenue in Gilroy.
A 49-year-old man was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:44 p.m. May 18 on Leavesley Road at Forest Street in Gilroy.
A 44-year-old man was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance at 2:43 p.m. May 18 on the 8400 block of Pacheco Pass Highway in Gilroy.
