Two dead in string of wrecks; bus passengers elude tragedy

Police are looking for a man who fired several gunshots toward a group of vehicles in downtown Morgan Hill July 16.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, which took place about 11:15 p.m. on the 17300 block of Monterey Road, according to Morgan Hill police. As police responded to the scene on a call of shots fired, officers were told a white man, about 5-feet 10-inches tall wearing a black baseball cap, dark sweatshirt, red shirt, dark pants and white shoes fired a handgun toward the vehicles, which were parked on Monterey Road.
The suspect was seen running south on Monterey Road toward Fifth Street immediately after the shooting, police said.
Officers collected evidence from the gunshot damage to the vehicles at the scene, according to authorities.
