Applications are now being accepted by Leadership Morgan Hill for its 2007 training and development program.

The Leadership Morgan Hill Recruitment Board is seeking individuals working or living in Morgan Hill who want to contribute their skills, knowledge and expertise for the betterment of the community.

“Each participant can expect to come away with in-depth knowledge of the local political, economic and government structures of the community. Additionally each participant will develop new community and business contacts and build life-long friendships with their classmates,” said Ken Manuele, Leadership Morgan Hill Board Member, Class of 2005. Leadership Morgan Hill is a training and development program created to inspire future leaders to become involved in community service. The local program, founded in 1995, is similar in concept to other leadership programs in 56 California communities. The nine-month program provides participants with knowledge of city and state government.

Community leaders, whose skills and decisions are shaping the city now and in the future, support the program.

By interacting with these leaders, participants learn new skills and develop a deeper understanding of critical issues such as crime, economic development, education and human services.

With new understanding, Leadership Morgan Hill graduates have the opportunity to become a part of a network of corporate and community leaders committed to improving Morgan Hill.

For more information about Leadership Morgan Hill visit the organization’s Web site at www.leadershipmorganhill.org. Applicants are encouraged to apply by Nov. 17, 2006 for the 2007 class.

Leadership Morgan Hill selects participants from diverse backgrounds and experiences who have a commitment to community service and the potential for leadership. The Recruitment Board believes that diversity enhances all of the program’s activities, and as a result, the program acknowledges a special responsibility to train leaders from among traditionally under-represented groups. Members of the Leadership Morgan Hill Recruitment Board, as well as alumni, are available to discuss the goals and objectives of the program by e-mailing: le********@********ll.org.
