While steady winds have blown in storm clouds above South County, the strongest possibility for rainfall will not hit until later in the week, according to Meteorologist Rick Canepa with the National Weather Service.
There have been some showers today across the San Francisco Peninsula and in the North Bay, but the precipitation has yet to make its way down to the Morgan Hill area.
A more developed low pressure system is forecast to hit late Thursday into Friday, producing some rainfall in South County, according to Canepa. However, he described this week as having an “unsettled weather pattern.”
“The second front is more developed and there’s a much better chance of soaking rain in the valley later this week,” Canepa said. “That looks like the best chance (of rain) right now.”
Temperatures will remain the same with highs in upper 60s and overnight lows in the low 50s, Canepa added.
