Coldwell Banker in Morgan Hill is once again joining forces with the United States Marine Corps Reserve in its local Toys for Tots campaign.
This season marks Coldwell Banker’s 20th consecutive year as an official gift collection center. The annual program is designed to provide holiday joy for needy children through the collection and distribution of new, unwrapped toys. The local Coldwell Banker office, along with others in the South Bay, serve as official collection centers from now until Dec. 15.
Residents who want to contribute may drop a new, unwrapped toy by the Morgan Hill Coldwell Banker office located at 308 Tennant Station or call (408) 779-5000. Coldwell Banker in Hollister, 200 Tres Pinos Road, is also participating.
Founded in 1947, Toys for Tots has evolved from a small Los Angeles-area project to a nationwide campaign. Over the past 59 years, Marines have distributed more than 350 million toys to some 166 million needy children across the nation.
“There are children in our own community who won’t realize the simple joy of opening one gift this holiday season,” said Joe Brown, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Silicon Valley president and chief operating officer. “With help from our community, we will be able to provide these children with a memorable holiday experience.”
Members of the United States Marine Corps Reserve will pick up the toys from each Coldwell Banker collection center and deliver them to charitable organizations and social welfare agencies in the area.
Coldwell Banker is the largest residential real estate brokerage in Northern California and serves the markets of Sacramento/Tahoe, San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. The company has 68 locations and more than 4,800 sales associates throughout Northern California.
