Leonard E. (Walt) Waltemeyer

“Walt” passed at the age of 78,in Las Vegas,NV. Walt retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sargent in 1968. Then joined the Gilroy PD in 1968 as a patrol officer, later to become a detective until his retirement in 1980, where he left life-long friends to retire to Magalia, CA. Bored with retirement, he became a campus police officer for Butte College. Walt moved to Las Vegas in 1996 to be near his surviving family members, Kevin and Keith Waltemeyer and Kyle Lairmore. He was a proud grandfather to Aaron and Wendy of Portland, OR. Chase, Cameron and Aric Of Las Vegas, NV. He also became a member of the Church of Las Vegas where he was Baptized. Services will be held at the Church of Las Vegas April 11th at 4:00 P.M. 3388 S. Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charities.
