Nikolaas Groen and Reed Campbell have both completed an Eagle Project and have received 21 merit badges to earn Eagle Scout rank.
Nikolaas, son of Martin and Mary Anne Groen of Morgan Hill, constructed a flag pole at the Wings of History Museum in San Martin.
Reed, son of Patrick and Barbara Campbell of Morgan Hill, constructed planter boxes at San Martin Gwinn Elementary School.
Aaron Wilson
Army Spec. Aaron L. Wilson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During training, the soldier studied the Army mission, physical fitness, combat, military weapons, marching, rifle marksmanship, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Wilson, son of Lee Wilson of Gilroy, graduated in 1995 from San Jose Academy and received a bachelor’s degree in 1999 from Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, N.C.
David Simpson
David Simpson, a graduate of Gilroy High School, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at The College of Wooster. Simpson, a first-year student from Gilroy, achieved a grade point average of 3.65 or above. The College of Wooster is an independent liberal arts college, nationally recognized for an innovative curriculum that emphasizes mentored, independent research in Wooster, Ohio.
Rachel Nin
Rachel Elizabeth Nin, of Morgan Hill, was among 339 undergraduates named to Denison University’s spring semester dean’s list by Provost Bradley Bateman. Students who achieve dean’s list status have maintained a grade-point average of 3.7 or better (out of 4.0) for the semester.
Rachel’s major is theatre and English.
