MORGAN HILL — Sarina Santiago scored 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting and the Sobrato Lady Bulldogs rallied to a 49-37 victory over Silver Creek on Wednesday in a BVAL-Mount Hamilton Division game at Sobrato High School.

After trailing 27-19 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Raiders 11-3 in the third quarter to pull even at 30-all. Sobrato (10-6 overall, 2-3 BVAL) exploded for 19 points during the final eight minutes.

Santiago, who made four 3-pointers, was one of eight Bulldogs to score, joining Michelle Bradley and Melissa Cachopo who had eight points apiece. Teammate Priyanka Kumar made 3 of 4 field goals on the way to seven points.

Silver Creek (9-6, 2-3) led 11-10 after the first quarter.

Sobrato has three road games ahead, starting today at Piedmont Hills.

Comets pull away

James Lick parlayed a 12-point second quarter into a 27-17 victory over Live Oak on Tuesday in San Jose.

The Lady Acorns fell to 0-14 overall and 0-5 in the BVAL-West Valley Division, heading into today’s bout with winless Yerba Buena.

Sesilee Queral scored 15 points to lead the Comets (6-8 overall, 3-2 BVAL).

Individual statistics were not available for Live Oak.
