Burglary

Someone stole a Kenmore dryer out of an unlocked garage at a residence on Lindo Court. The crime was reported 11:44 p.m. Jan. 10.

A caller reported that the door of her RV was pried open when she returned to her residence on Monterey Road after being gone for two weeks. A TV, laptop computer, and fishing equipment were stolen. The crime was reported 3:28 p.m. Jan. 12.

Auto burglary

A caller reported a window was smashed on the driver’s side of his white 2001 Ford F-150 pickup. The stereo was stolen. The crime occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Jan. 11 and 12:31 a.m. Jan. 12, on the 18500 block of Butterfield Boulevard.

Court papers and a cell phone were stolen from a locked vehicle on Mathilda Court. The car’s owner believes her ex is a suspect. The crime was reported 5:57 a.m. Wednesday.

Auto accident

A green Ford Bronco flipped over in a single-car accident in front of Sobrato High School on Burnett Avenue. The 17-year-old driver was uninjured and refused medical assistance. The accident was reported 5:34 p.m. Jan. 13.

Attempted robbery

An unknown man approached a woman who was getting her child out of her car on San Ramon Drive and told her to give him her purse. The woman threw her car keys on the ground and ran towards San Pedro Avenue. She was unhurt. The would-be robber ran away on foot. He is described as Hispanic, in his 40s, with a goatee and wearing a dark green hoodie, black jeans, and shoes with white stripes on them.

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor

Joseph Isaac Delgado, 22, of Gilroy and Mark Anthony Delgado, 23, of Morgan Hill, and a juvenile, 8:39 p.m. Saturday, near Longmeadow Drive and Santa Teresa Boulevard when they were found smoking marijuana in a vehicle.

Possession of more than an ounce of marijuana

Joshua Nathanael Noble, 19, of San Jose, 12:09 a.m. Saturday, near Coyote Ranch and Metcalf Road in San Jose.

Possession of cocaine

Jose Manolo Salazar, 30, of San Martin, 9:58 a.m. Jan. 7, near Monterey Highway and Buena Vista Avenue for possession of cocaine, probation violation and driving without a license.

Grand theft

Three unlocked vehicles – a 1994 silver Toyota Camry, a 1993 white Mercury Villager and a 2003 blue Chevrolet – were ransacked and several items, including a black Microsoft mp3 player worth $150, were taken, between 1 and 3:30 a.m. Saturday, on the 11100 block of Monterey Road in San Martin.

Theft by credit card

A Gilroy man’s credit card was used to make an unauthorized $34.62 purchase at seafarerhelp.com, between 12 p.m. Dec. 31 and 4:15 p.m. Jan. 9.

Mail theft

A man living on the 9900 block of Lantz Drive in Morgan Hill believes someone stole his credit card statement from his mailbox, between 12 p.m. Jan. 2 and 1:42 p.m. Jan. 9.

Petty theft

A CB radio and stereo, total worth of $200, were stolen from an unlocked 1986 white Peterbilt semi truck, between 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 8, on the 700 block of Las Animas Avenue.

Animal cruelty

After a woman walked her dog at the Centennial Community Center dog park in Morgan Hill, 12 p.m. Dec. 21, the dog began acting strangely and vomiting. When she took the animal to the veterinarian, the vet found a .177 caliber BB lodged in the dog’s abdomen. Deputies warned a man living near the dog park against firing his BB gun but the man said he does not fire the gun at the dog park.

Embezzlement

A 46-year-old San Martin man is suspected to have embezzled several hundred thousand dollars from the company where he was general secretary, between 12 a.m. Jan. 1, 1996 and 11:59 p.m. Dec. 31, 2006, on the 12600 block of Sycamore Avenue in San Martin. Actual monetary loss is unknown.

Stolen vehicle recovery

A 1995 black Honda Accord stolen out of Hollister was found without its rims and tires in a field, 8:51 a.m. Jan. 8, on the 2800 block of Leavesley Road.
