  • Vandalism: A resident of Jasmine Square Apartments reported the door of the apartment was “broken down” with a bar overnight, but nothing was stolen from the apartment. The report was taken at 9:54am.

  • Vandalism: A vacant apartment on West Fourth Street was broken into. Someone left cigarette butts inside on the carpet, graffitied the heater and left sleeping bags there. The report was taken at 1:03pm.

  • Auto burglary: A phone, purse and radio was stolen from an unlocked Honda Accord while parked at Simple Beverages and Cigars on Monterey Road. The report was taken at 4:09pm.

March 1

  • Vandalism: A Morgan Hill resident reported their vehicle was parked in a parking lot on West Main Avenue, and a window was shattered overnight. The report was taken at 11:24am.

  • Vandalism: A Morgan Hill resident reported her Acura was spraypainted while she was attending a meeting at Live Oak High. The report was taken at 10:07pm.

March 2

  • Identity theft: A resident of the Carriage Drive Apartments reported someone is using her identity; she received a bill from a gas company in Oklahoma with her information on it. The report was taken at 4:16pm.

  • Petty theft: A purse was stolen from a classroom at Live Oak High by two students. The report was taken at 4:23pm.

March 4

  • Burglary: A resident of West Main Avenue reported the main garage door of the residence was forced open overnight and tools were stolen. The report was taken at 9:24am.

  • Auto burglary: A Suburban parked at Britton Middle School was broken into. A window was shattered, and a purse was stolen. The report was taken at 6:40pm.

March 5

  • Vandalism: A resident of Calle Viento reported the windshield of their Ford pickup was shattered, possibly by a rock. The report was taken at 11:04am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported their Mitsubishi Galant was broken into while parked at Betsy’s Restaurant in Tennant Station shopping center. A window was shattered, and a briefcase was stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken at 6:54pm.

March 6

  • Identity theft: A resident of Oak Park Drive reported her medical information was stolen during a burglary of San Jose Medical Center last year. She told police she now has 15 accounts on her credit report that she did not open. The report was taken at 7:55am.

  • Auto burglary: A resident of Warren Avenue reported her husband went out in the morning and noticed the car’s trunk was open. A snowboarding jacket, digital camera and cell phone were stolen. The glove box and trunk were emptied, she told police. A “slim Jim” was apparently used to get into the vehicle. The report was taken at 9:52am.

  • Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported checks were written on their father’s bank account and cashed. The report was taken at 10:14am.

  • Auto burglary: A resident of Calle Cabezal reported their Jeep Grand Cherokee was broken into overnight. A wallet, Palm Pilot and cell phone were stolen. A “slim Jim” was apparently used to get into the Jeep. The report was taken at 10:34am.

  • Burglary: There was an attempted break-in of the well site at the end of Malaguerra Avenue near the Boys Ranch. The report was taken at 11:17am.

  • Identity theft: A resident of the La Crosse Village Apartments reported someone has been using their Social Security number to open accounts. The report was taken at 11:20am.

  • Auto burglary: A resident of Rosemary Circle reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole the garage door opener, sunglasses and the vehicle manual. The report was taken at 6:24pm.

  • Vandalism: A resident of Calle Cabezal reported someone shattered a window of his Toyota Camry. The report was taken at 7:10pm.

March 7

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone entered his unlocked GMC pickup while it was parked at the Cinelux Theater in Tennant Station shopping center the night before. The report was taken at 8:33am.

  • Grand theft: Someone stole 80 copper step shingles from the porch of the Morgan Hill House on Monterey Road. The suspect must have jumped the fence to get to the porch. The shingles are valued at $500. The report was taken at 9:20am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported her Jeep Grand Cherokee was broken into while parked at the Xtreme Fitness on Jarvis Drive. A window was shattered, and her purse was stolen. The report was taken at 6:52pm.

March 8

  • Stolen vehicle: A resident of Barnell Avenue reported their locked Honda Accord was stolen. The report was taken at 10:07am.

  • Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported her daughter’s cell phone was stolen from her backpack while she was at Central High. The report was taken at 12:10pm.

  • Burglary: A home on Adair Court was broken into during the day. A window was shattered, and the house was ransacked. Jewelry and computer equipment were stolen. The report was taken at 3:25pm.

March 9

  • Auto burglary: A resident of Acacia Mobile Home Park reported their pickup was broken into overnight. The locks for the bed cover were broken off, and a leaf blower and a box of painting supplies was stolen. The report was taken at 7:59am.

  • Vandalism: The Morgan Hill Library reported someone smeared feces on the walls and floor of the bathroom, and this has occurred three times in the last week. The report was taken at 2:25pm.
