Police arrested 50-year-old Carl Brennan Wednesday night for
allegedly molesting a 5-year-old girl. Brennan, a transient, worked
as a handyman a couple times a month at the young girl’s home along
Amber Court. Her parents were home Sunday evening when he allegedly
molested her, but the incident took place in a room outside their
view, according to Sgt. Jim Gillio. She later told her parents, who
reported the matter to police.

Police look for jewelry store robbers
Police are searching for two Hispanic males who walked into La Estrellita Jewelry on 10th Street about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and held up the store for $1,200 in cash and five watches worth $810. The suspects had two handguns, but they did not hurt any of the three employees present, and no customers were in the store at the time, Sgt. Jim Gillio said. The suspects fled out the back door, and police said the incident did not appear gang-related.
