? Karen Anderson: “I certainly hope not. He makes Pat Buchanan look wise.”
? Chris Bryant: “While being very visible and very vocal, I don’t think he can be considered the leader as he has not been acknowledged by the party itself.”
? David Cohen: “Yes, he has assumed that role not only as the party’s mouthpiece, but as its scold as well. Party members cross Rush to their detriment.”
? Dennis Kennedy: “No! He’s an entertainer!”
? Julian Mancias: “No. He just thinks he is.”
? Henry Miller: “The Democrats can only hope so.”
? Linda McNulty: “No, I believe Rush should be considered a radio personality and not a political representative. He will at times articulately represent the Republican party agenda and other times has tainted the party by outrageous statements for “media shock factor.” Many political advisors or leaders have gone too far left or right at times.”
? Lisa Pampuch: “Yes, unfortunately for the party. Limbaugh has a larger soap box than any elected Republican or RNC Chair Michael Steele. The string of abject apologies offered to Limbaugh after criticisms are expressed is another sad sign of his leadership status.”
? John Quick: “Leader of the lemming portion of the party – which is unfortunately substantial. The “Ditto heads” as they call themselves, represent the knee-jerk, reactionary segment of the Republican party – people like Bush, Cheney and Rice, sometimes referred to as neo-cons, many of whom also qualify as war criminals according to international law.”
? Emily Shem-Tov: “No, I’m hopeful that that party will come to realize that his messages are not good for them or the country and that more reasonable leaders will emerge.”
? Steve Staloch: “Hardly. Limbaugh is an entertainer, who while inciting public debate, does so with the shtick of a WWF wrestler. Obama, leaders of both parties, and the media are giving this guy way too much (hot) airtime.”
